Show One Productions, founded in 2004 by Russian Impresario Svetlana Dvoretsky, is celebrating ten years of presenting internationally renowned artists, orchestras, dance companies and unique attractions in Toronto and across Canada. Beginning this spring, Show One will present a variety of special tenth anniversary performances, including the return of two of its favourite musical guests along with the Canadian premiere of a legendary theatre company.

"For 10 years, Show One Productions has been proudly presenting internationally acclaimed artists from around the world and from many different ethnic backgrounds with a variety of religious and political beliefs," said Dvoretsky, "but when it comes to choosing our artists, we have only one consideration, the most important of all: artistic merit."

In 2004, Show One's first professional presentation featured Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra at the George Weston Recital Hall. Show One has presented Vladimir Spivakov on several occasions since?to great acclaim and for standing-room only performances! Their return to Toronto, on Friday, May 9 at Roy Thomson Hall, marks Show One's 10th anniversary as well as the Orchestra's 35th anniversary.

The ensemble, made up of the top-ranking soloists from the great orchestras of Russia, have set the gold standard for chamber music performance. Following the concert, the entire audience is invited to a lobby party celebrating ten years of Show One Productions, and featuring Daniela Nardi's jazz-world project Espresso Manifesto.

One of the worlds greatest and most versatile opera stars, Baritone Dmitri Hvorostovsky, makes his recital debut in Toronto with longtime partner, pianist Ivari Ilja, at the acoustically stunning Koerner Hall on Saturday, June 1 at 7pm, with a repertoire that includes works by Tchaikovsky, Rachmaninoff, Medtner and Liszt.
