Recitals, Guest Concerts, SINGATHON and More Set for Milwaukee Children's Choir's 2013-14 Season

Milwaukee Children's Choir has announced its 2013-2014 season. The upcoming season marks the 20th Anniversary of Milwaukee Children's Choir.

By way of celebrating 20 years of providing Milwaukee area students with an advanced level vocal music education program, Artistic Director Marco Antonio Melendez is adopting a new choral structure and corresponding curriculum that will continue to foster each chorister's individual growth as a student and young musician.

As the program moves toward the future, MCC will continue to offer unique and exciting performance opportunities to all choristers while also maintaining our tradition of excellence in music education. During the 20th anniversary season, MCC will host concerts to honor all Veterans, two performances to welcome in the holiday season, performances with the Milwaukee Ballet and Milwaukee Symphony Orchestra, a 20th Anniversary Celebration concert, and many more!

In recognition of their brave and gallant efforts to support and defend our country, Milwaukee Children's Choir will honor all active duty and veteran military personnel by hosting this celebratory concert. All active duty and veteran military members are encouraged to attend this performance in their military uniforms.This performance will feature the MCC's premier choral ensembles, Concert Choir and Milwaukee Youth Chorale.

The Concert Choir and Milwaukee Youth Chorale of Milwaukee Children's Choir will present this candlelit evening of holiday choral music in the solemn atmosphere of the Cathedral of All Saints, Milwaukee. The choirs will be joined by organist, Christopher Berry, and a brass ensemble. The Choir will feature Johann Michael Haydn's Missa pro festo sancti innocent (Mass for the Feast of Holy Innocents) also known as, "St. Leopold Mass."
