The Phoenix Boys Choir 2015-16 Season opens November 1 at 3 pm in Steele Indian School Park Memorial Hall, 300 E. Indian School Rd, with Boy Can They Sing!

The concert features highlights from upcoming Phoenix Boys Choir concerts during the season, from light-hearted Broadway show-stoppers to glorious heavenly pieces from the Baroque, Renaissance and Romantic periods.

Tickets for Boy, Can They Sing! are $15 adults/$10 seniors and free for children under 12 and may be purchased at www.phoenixboyschoir.org or by calling 602-264-5328.

Audiences will enjoy the Phoenix Boys Choir's interpretations of such favorites as Irving Berlin's There's No Business Like Show Business, the catchy Route 66, Rogers and Hammerstein's The Lonely Goatherd from The Sound of Music and the Disney classic, When You Wish Upon A Star. The angelic voices will also come together to perform Verdi's Ave Maria, Ludovico da Viadana's Exultate Justi and Palestrina's Tu es Petrus, which will exhibit their truly ethereal sound.

Led by Artistic Director Georg Stangelberger, the Phoenix Boys Choir is comprised of over 100 boys, aged 7 to 14, from neighborhoods all over the Valley. Maestro Stangelberger came to Phoenix after guiding the world-renowned Vienna Boys Choir for over 10 years and has since brought The Phoenix Boys Choir to new heights including international tours to Europe, performances with many of the leading performing arts organizations in Arizona and won 1st Prize in the International Youth Music Festival in Vienna, Austria.

The Phoenix Boy's Choir 2015-16 Season includes Boy Can They Sing! (November 1) Winter Wonderland (December 12-20) Vision For Peace (March 4 & 5) and The Happiest Songs on Earth (May 7).
