The Palisades Virtuosi flute, clarinet and piano trio presents In Tribute (Anniversaries & Comemmorations), the second concert of their 2015-2016 season on Friday, April 1 at 7:30 PM at Church of the Atonement, 97 Highwood Avenue, at Engle Street in Tenafly, New Jersey.

The program will include Wind Space (a 9-11 commemorative - 2007) by Brian Schober, the World Premiere of Elegy Suite (2014) by Michael Rosin, written in memory of Raymond Wojcik, and other works by Adrienne Albert, Debussy, Michele Ekisian, Scott Joplin and Prokofiev.

The Schober and Rosin works are part of the ensemble's Mission to commission, which has so far resulted in nearly 75 works created for them since 2003.

Michael Rosin writes. "I first started composing when I was in middle school, around 12 years old. It rapidly grew from there, as I wrote music for my schools' orchestras, bands and choruses each year of high school and college... I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Music Composition and Theory from the John J. Cali School of Music at Montclair State University. I am currently pursuing a Master's Degree in Music Composition at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music. I have written for many ensembles including full orchestra, string orchestra, chamber groups, choirs and solo instruments. Although I primarily compose classical music, I have written liturgical music, art songs, jazz, and even film scores. I am also a church organist, pianist/accompanist, and conductor. In the past, I was the Music Director and Organist at Christ Episcopal Church in Teaneck, NJ, and have been an Outreach Director and piano teacher at RMC Studios."
