The New York Philharmonic Ensembles, composed of musicians from the Orchestra, will give its last performance of the 2013-14 season on Sunday, May 25, 2014, at 3:00 p.m. at Merkin Concert Hall with a concert featuring Bartók's 44 Duos for 2 Violins, Nos. 26-44; Fanny Mendelssohn's String Quartet; and Vaughan Williams's Piano Quintet. The musicians on the program will be Associate Principal, Second Violin Group Lisa Kim, Hyunju Lee, Anna Rabinova, and Sharon Yamada; Assistant Principal Viola Irene Breslaw; cellists Eric Bartlett and Alexei Yupanqui Gonzales; Acting Principal Bass Satoshi Okamoto; and guest pianist Jonathan Feldman.

Since 1984 the Philharmonic Ensembles series has presented diverse programming of both classical masterpieces and modern compositions. Ensembles concerts are also offered on the Orchestra's international and domestic tours, on separate chamber music tours, and at locations throughout New York City.
