The New Jersey State Opera has announced that company Artistic Director Jason Tramm will be conducting Hope for Resolution: A Song for Mandela and de Klerk, part of the opening celebration of Building Bridges: Sixty Years of Jewish-Christian Dialogue at Seton Hall University.

The community is invited to the opening celebration of Building Bridges: Sixty Years of Jewish-Christian Dialogue at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, January 30, 2013, in JubiLee Hall Auditorium, 400 South Orange Ave., South Orange, NJ. The keynote speaker is Dr. Peter Schäfer of Princeton University, the author of The Jewish Jesus: How Judaism and Christianity Shaped Each Other.

The musical performance will feature the Seton Hall University Choir with Maestro Jason Tramm, performing Hope for Resolution: A Song for Mandela and de Klerk arranged by Paul Caldwell and Sean Ivory and Ralph Vaughan Williams' O Clap Your Hands. The program will include the screening of the video on the Legacy of Monsignor Oesterreicher, and book signings with Dr. Schäfer and Rabbi Alan Brill, Cooperman/Ross Endowed Chair of Jewish Christian Studies at Seton Hall and the author of Judaism and World Religions: Encountering Christianity, Islam and Eastern Traditions. There will be a light reception. The event is free and open to the public.
