Show One Productions, founded in 2004 by Russian Impresario Svetlana Dvoretsky, is celebrating ten years of presenting internationally renowned artists, orchestras, dance companies and unique attractions in Toronto and across Canada beginning with Maestro Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra.

In 2004, Show One's first professional presentation featured Vladimir Spivakov and the Moscow Virtuosi Chamber Orchestra at the George Weston Recital Hall. Show One has presented Vladimir Spivakov on several occasions sinceto great acclaim and for standing-room only performances! Their return to Toronto, on Friday, May 9 at Roy Thomson Hall, marks Show One's 10th anniversary as well as the Orchestra's 35th anniversary.

"For 10 years, Show One Productions has been proudly presenting internationally acclaimed artists from around the world and from many different ethnic backgrounds with a variety of religious and political beliefs," said Dvoretsky, "but when it comes to choosing our artists, we have only one consideration, the most important of all: artistic merit."

The ensemble, made up of the top-ranking soloists from the great orchestras of Russia, have set the gold standard for chamber music performance. VladimirSpivakov, an accomplished violinist as well, will lead the orchestra in a programme that includes repertoire from Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich and the master of Tango, Astor Piazzolla.

Following the concert, the entire audience is invited to a lobby party celebrating ten years of Show One Productions, and featuring Daniela Nardi's jazz-world project Espresso Manifesto.

"Throughout history, music and art have been a unifying force. Show One will continue to bring you the world's greatest performers who can celebrate, comfort and give expression to our emotions, and truly affect our deepest levels of humanity," added Dvoretsky.
