James Campbell returns to TOM with his hit show Comedy 4 Kids right at the end of Brighton Fringe, offering a welcome respite for parents fed up with face-painting, macaroni workshops and clowns with his unique brand of stand up comedy that is just as likely to have the adults laughing as the children. The show is set for 27 May 2014.

Imagine you're a sausage. You are in a frying pan, happily sizzling away with other, like-minded sausages. Then one of them starts to tell you about tomato ketchup. You refuse to believe your friend's stories but later you find yourself being dipped head first into that tangy, tomatoey joy. And then you realise that yes - ketchup is true. Watching James Campbell is a bit like that. But there aren't any sausages involved. Or ketchup. For anyone who likes comedy without the rude words.

James Campbell first came to TOM for Brighton Fringe in 2012 and since then has grown a huge following of Brightonian parents and their children for his ability to keep both sets entertained (and some under 6's too!) with jokes ranging from sinister cows to counting cous cous. Not only is he an accomplished live children's entertainer, he has now begun publishing a series of children's books with Hodder including Boyface and the Uncertain Ponies, Boyface and the Quantum Chromatic Disruption Machine and Boyface and the Tartan Badger - about a child called Boyface Antelope, due to be published this year.

Brighton Fringe, Edinburgh and UK Tours aside, James has performed his unique stand up for children all over the world including runs at the New Victory on Broadway NYC, the Chicago Humanities Festival, Just for Laughs in Montreal, The Melbourne International Comedy Festival, The Adelaide Fringe, The Perth Literary Festival, The Southbank Imagine Festival and The Hay Festival. He is also a growing figure in the children's literary world, currently working on several projects working to get children to not only engage more with literature but to also start writing their own work.
