The Hershey Symphony Orchestra will present two performances of its annual holiday concert, Saturday, December 3, 2016 at 2 p.m and 7 p.m. at the Hershey Theatre.

The Holiday Spectacular 2016 concert includes seasonal favorites and a performance from the 2016 Hershey Symphony Orchestra Young Artist Competition Winner, Ami Hatori. Selections include The Overture to Hansel & Gretel by Engelbert Humperdink, Deck the Halls by Chip Davis (Mannheim Steamroller), White Christmas by Irving Berlin, Festive Sounds of Hanukkah, Leroy Anderson's Sleigh Ride and Christmas Festival Overture and much more. The orchestra will also be joined on a few numbers by the Hershey Symphony Festival Strings (7pm) and Hershey Symphony Powerhouse Strings (2pm). The audience may also sing along to the Hallelujah Chorus from Handel's Messiah. Plus, a visit from the man in the red suit is scheduled to occur.

About the Hershey Symphony Orchestra: For 47 years, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra has entertained music lovers throughout Central Pennsylvania. Comprised of accomplished local musicians, the Hershey Symphony Orchestra is proud to enrich the community with its gift of music. Established in 1969 as a chamber ensemble by a group of musicians at the Hershey Medical Center, the Hershey Symphony has grown to be one of the largest community orchestras in the nation with eighty-plus members from throughout central Pennsylvania.
