The Haifa Symphony Orchestra, with Musical Director Maestro Xu Zhong, Principal Guest Conductor, Boguslaw Dawidow, and Piano Soloist Roman Rabinovich will be at the Van Wezel Performing Arts Hall tonight, January 22, 2014.

The Haifa Symphony Orchestra of Israel was founded in 1950 and in recent years has become the focal point of musical life in Haifa and the north of Israel. The Orchestra, which is the most significant musical institute in the region, has recently expanded its activities throughout the country. This season, under new musical direction, Maestro Xu Zhong will lead the Haifa Symphony Orchestra to additional and new successes.

Maestro Dawidow is currently the Principal Guest Conductor of Haifa Symphony Orchestra of Israel and the Bogota Symphony Orchestra, and the General Music Director of Chopin Chamber Orchestra. The evening of music will also feature Israeli pianist Roman Rabinovich. Rabinovich is the top prize winner along with four additional prizes at the 2008 Arthur Rubinstein International Piano Master Competition. He also won first prize at the 2007 Animato Competition.

The repertoire will consist of rich and varied music in collaboration with talented artists from Israel and abroad. An orchestral treat not to be missed!
