Considered "The best jazz band in the land" by the San Francisco Examiner, the Preservation Hall Jazz Band will join forces for the first time ever with New Orleans icon Allen Toussaint for an evening of legendary music making at Kean University's Enlow Recital Hall on Saturday, October 25 at 7:30 p.m.

Preservation Hall was founded in 1961 to promote traditional authentic New Orleans jazz. Legendary players like George Lewis and Kid Thomas Valentine were some of its original stars. That generation is long gone now, yet the hall is still in business and the Preservation Hall Jazz Band continues to tour the world performing old standards, along with new material.

Allen Toussaint has crossed many paths in his illustrious 40 years plus career in music. He has produced, written for, arranged, had his songs covered by, and performed with music giants like The Judds, Paul McCartney, Paul Simon, Elvis Costello, Patti LaBelle, The Rolling Stones and countless others. In 2012, Toussaint was inducted into the Song Writers Hall Of Fame and The Blues Hall Of Fame.

Tickets to New Orleans Legends in Enlow Hall are $35 - $45 and can be purchased by calling Kean Stage Box Office at 908.737.SHOW (7469), online at http://EnlowHall.kean.edu or in person at Kean University's Wilkins Theater Box Office (1000 Morris Avenue in Union, NJ).

Situated on Kean University's East Campus (215 North Avenue in Hillside, NJ), Enlow Hall is renowned for its superb acoustics and elegant design. With just 300 spectacular seats, Enlow Hall has been praised by noted performers and patrons for its intimate ambiance and close proximity between musicians and audience members. Free onsite parking is available at every concert.
