Deer Valley Music Festival will present Haydn's "Oxford" Symphony, Dreamworks Animation in Concert, and the Steep Canyon Rangers with the Utah Symphony. Details below!


Haydn's "Oxford" Symphony
Wednesday, July 27 | 8 p.m.

Utah Symphony Associate Concertmaster Kathryn Eberle and Principal Violist Brant Bayless will perform with the orchestra under the direction of guest conductor Pierre Bleuse at St. Mary's Church in the fourth midweek chamber series concert of this year's Deer Valley Music Festival. This program includes Mozart's Overture to Cosi fan tutt and Sinfonia concertante, Handel and Halversen's Passacaglia, and Haydn's Symphony No. 92 "Oxford." Dreamworks Animation in Concert
Friday, July 29 | 7:30 p.m.

The Utah Symphony will perform the thrilling cinematic music of Dreamworks Animation under the baton of highly sought-after American conductor Justin Freer at the Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. Come experience the classic soundtracks of popular films such as "Shrek," "Madagascar," "Kung Fu Panda," and "How to Train Your Dragon." This concert will feature 20+ years of visually stunning footage projected in HD onto a big screen, alongside iconic music scores by Hans Zimmer, John Powell, Alexandre Desplat, Alan Silvestri, and Danny Elfman. Steep Canyon Rangers with the Utah Symphony
Saturday, July 30 | 7:30 p.m.

GRAMMY award-winning bluegrass band the Steep Canyon Rangers will join the Utah Symphony under the direction of conductor Rei Hotoda at the Deer Valley Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater. This concert is sure to entertain with its bluegrass danceable melodies and dynamic harmonies. Tickets start at $37 for general admission and $15 for youth (ages 8-18), and can be purchased at artsaltlake.org/production/steep-canyon-rangers.

Prices are subject to change and increase $5 on the day of the performance. Tickets are also available in Park City at Deer Valley Resort's Signature and Etc. stores. VIP packages for both Friday and Saturday performances will continue at this year's festival and include VIP parking, pre-concert gourmet dinner at the resort, premium reserved seating, and access to the intermission reception. VIP package pricing includes a charitable contribution built into the various package options. Salon Events will also continue, featuring intimate performances in luxurious private residences by festival artists. Cost will be $125 per person. Maximum chair height at Snow Park Outdoor Amphitheater is nine inches from the ground. Gates will open to all ticket holders approximately two hours before the performance begins. Patrons must be present to save a spot in line. Unattended items will be removed. Valid picture ID is required to pick up tickets at will call. No ticket reprinting is available for general admission seating. Outside food and drinks are allowed at the venue, and there are a variety of concession services at the venue offered by Deer Valley Resort.

St. Mary's Church is a general admission venue with seating in church pews. Outside food and beverage are not allowed at this venue. Concessions are for sale at intermission. House opens approximately 30-45 minutes before the concert begins. Arrive early for best seating options as the venue fills up quickly and is general admission. Prices are subject to change and increase $5 on the day of the performance. Children 8 and younger not admitted to the performance. Free parking is available at the venue, and wraps around the Church. Carpooling is strongly recommended to help alleviate traffic congestion. Do not park in the surrounding neighborhood, you will be ticketed.
