NBC has announced that comedian Jon Rudnitsky has joined the cast of NBC's SATURDAY NIGHT LIVE as a featured player for the upcoming 41st season, which debuts on Oct. 3 with host Miley Cyrus.

The stand-up comedian hails from Harrington Park, New Jersey and graduated from the University of Southern California. He is, thus far, the only new featured player announced to join the long-running sketch comedy show. The comic won the lineup at the Just For Laughs festival and has performed with the iconic improv group The Groundlings.

In addition, he is also a writer and has penned and starred in several viral You Tube vides, which may appear in upcoming episodes of the show.
