The Cleveland Orchestra presents its 2nd annual neighborhood residency in Northeast Ohio during a concentrated week of activities May 17 through May 24, 2014, in Lakewood, Ohio. A variety of education events for schools serve as prelude to the residency's main week. For the public, the Orchestra will offer musical events and performances throughout the Lakewood community, culminating with a FREE community concert by The Cleveland Orchestra.

The community performance under the direction of Music Director of Franz Welser-Möst takes place at Lakewood Civic Auditorium on Saturday, May 24 at 7:30 pm. The program features Cleveland Orchestra Principal Trombone Massimo La Rosa as soloist in Ferdinand David's Concertino for Trombone and Orchestra. The program opens with Richard Strauss's tone poem Don Juan and also includes three pieces by Johann Strauss Jr.: Waltz: From the Mountains, Czárdás from the operetta Ritter Pázmán, and the overture to the operetta Die Fledermaus.

FREE tickets to this concert will be available at ten locations throughout Lakewood (see list below), beginning on Saturday morning, April 26. Tickets are limited to 4 per person. Seating for the performance is general admission and on a first-come, first-served basis. Any seats not claimed by ticket holders will be released to non-ticket holders at 7:15 pm.
