Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra to Perform at Severance Hall, 11/23

On Sunday, November 23, 2014 at 8:00 p.m. The Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra, now in its 30th season, performs its first Severance Hall concert of the 2014-15 season. Brett Mitchell, in his second season as music director of the Youth Orchestra, conducts a program that opens with John Adams The Chairman Dances (Foxtrot for Orchestra), followed by Roy Harris Symphony No. 3. After intermission, the program concludes with Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4.

Chamber music ensembles from the Youth Orchestra will perform at a Prelude Concert in Reinberger Chamber Hall beginning at 7 p.m. The Prelude program is free to concert ticketholders.

Each of the Cleveland Orchestra Youth Orchestra's concerts this season is to be broadcast on by WCLV 104.9 FM. The November 23 concert is scheduled to be broadcast live.

The Severance Hall Ticket Office is located in the Smith Lobby. The entrance and 15-minute Ticket Service parking are along East Boulevard. The Ticket Office is open 9 a.m. - 6 p.m., Monday-Friday, and on Saturdays from 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. The office is closed Sundays and holidays, except for those days with performances, when it opens 3 hours before concert start time.
