Clarinetist Caroline Hartig to Perform Recital at Weigel Hall Auditorium

Join Caroline Hartig and pianist Jiung Yoon on Monday, Feb. 22 at 8 p.m. in Weigel Hall Auditorium, 1871 N. High St., for an evening of music from classical to klezmer featuring works by Schoenfield, Mangani, Jeanjean, Pedini, Villa Lobos, Kovacs and the world premiere of Klezmerline by Orian Shukrun.

Caroline Hartig, professor of clarinet, earned her Bachelor of Music Education (BME) at Ohio State, her Master of Music (MM) at New England Conservatory and her Doctor of Musical Arts (DMA) at State University of New York-Stonybrook. An acclaimed clarinet soloist and recording artist, she has performed throughout the United States, Europe and Asia. She has appeared as soloist with orchestras and contemporary music ensembles and as a recitalist in major concert halls in New York City and abroad including Carnegie Hall; Weill Recital Hall; Merkin Concert Hall; the Fritz Reiner Center for Contemporary Music; Symphony Hall (Boston); Tokyo, Japan; Munich, Germany; and Perugia, Italy.
