After a night of 20th Century FOX cross-promotion, we opened this week's results show with THE FOLLOWING's Kevin Bacon stealing Ryan Seacrest's signature line, "This is American Idol."

I am really loving these half-an-hour results shows. After all of the nonsensical filler they stuffed into last night's show, it was nice to just have recaps and results. Now, if we could just figure out a way to cut out all Randy Jackson segments, this would be a fantastic 30 minutes of television

Without much filler, I don't have much to complain about. So, on to the results:

Safe (in order announced)
Jena Irene
Alex Preston
Caleb Johnson
C.J. Harris
Sam Woolf

Bottom-Two (in order of announcement)
Dexter Roberts
Jessica Meuse

Eliminated
Dexter Roberts

While I have had my issues with Marbles McMushmouth, he is a talented singer, which he again proved with his goodbye performance of Montgomery Gentry's "Lucky Man." I guess it is time that I give into the fact that America sees something in C.J. Harris that I simply don't. I've said that I thought he should be eliminated each of the last five weeks, and I don't see that changing any time in the future. That being said, he seems like a great guy (I love seeing his girlfriend beam with pride in the audience), and I hope he has a great career, but he just doesn't deserve to inherit the Kelly Clarkson crown.

The IDOL "Powers That Be" have already announced next week's theme; "A Little Bit County; A Little Bit Rock n' Roll." In the first two solo week of the season, each finalist will pick one country song AND one rock song to sing.

So IDOL fanatics, did America get it right this week? What two songs are you hoping each contestant sings next week? Remember to come back to BroadwayWorldTV next week for all of your American Idol informational needs.
