NEW YORK, July 14, 2016 /PRNewswire/ eMusic, the pioneer of the digital entertainment industry and independent music services, announces today the launch of eStories, a fully upgraded audiobook service offering over 80,000 unique titles, ranging from best-sellers in every genre to small-press gems, a full suite of new features including unlimited cloud storage and the ability to sync up to 10 devices, while priced at some of the most competitive rates in the industry.

Since being acquired in September of 2015 by TriPlay, the next-generation personal cloud company, and the developer of MyMusicCloud and MyDigipack, eMusic has been undergoing a complete overhaul, upgrading every aspect of the platform and service to suit the needs and wants of today's storage-hungry, digital media consumer.

eStories is a tremendous value among premium audiobook services, with monthly plans starting at just $11.99 20% lower than leading competitors. Initially available on the web, iPhone, iPad and Android phones & tablets, eStories will soon be available on all platforms.

Based on feedback from eMusic audiobook enthusiasts, publishers, and industry insiders, eStories was redesigned from the ground-up to make it easy for audiobook lovers to discover, store and access their next favorite audiobook. This started with adopting one of the largest catalogs in the industry and focused on delivering a seamless experience of sampling, shopping and listening across multiple devices. Key features to enable this include unlimited cloud storage, the option to stream or download titles to the app, plus the ability to download open, DRM-free MP3 copies of most titles.

eStories readers can now connect to stories like never before, with rich author bios, insightful reviews, and the ability to collect and keep notes on their favorite titles. Users can even sync stories on up to 10 different devices, making it easy to pause on one and pick up right where they left off on another.

Through its partnership with Findaway, eStories offers titles from all of the Big 5 publishers, including Hachette Audio, Macmillan Audio and Penguin Random House Audio, with titles like The Girl on the Train by Paula Hawkins, The Nightingale by Kristin Hannah and The BFG by Roald Dahl.

"We are excited to be a part of the new and improved eStories audiobook experience. This partnership will expand their current catalog, placing more high-quality audiobooks in reach for their users,"said Mitch Kroll, Co-Founder & CEO of Findaway.

"We've wanted to get into the booming audiobook business for many years as it is a great companion to our other services and perfectly suited to our technology, digital media experience and ability to offer the same unlimited cloud storage our users have enjoyed for years," said Tamir Koch, CEO of TriPlay and eMusic. "We chose to launch eStories ahead of eMusic because we saw an opportunity to make the most significant service improvements there first, and thanks to our partnership with Findaway, we are now able to offer one of the largest audiobook catalogs available. eStories serves our best and most loyal members who enjoy both music and audiobook subscription plans. We're thanking them for their loyalty and we are thrilled to be able to give them a state-of-the-art service they deserve at the lowest possible price."

The audiobook market is entering a significant growth phase as service providers make audiobooks more accessible and enjoyable, and publishers ramp up production. According to the American Association of Publishers, 2015 monthly audiobook sales were up by as much as 43% year over year and publishers are producing more, higher quality, audiobooks than ever, up 115% over the past 2 years.
