Wisdom House Books Launches New Book by Grady Hicks

Grady Hicks and his daughter Brianna have officially set off on a unique journey beginning in Australia. Each day for twenty-eight days they will update their travel blog for family and followers, because the destinations and journey tasks are known only to the intrepid travelers. This way, readers can "track their journey, one day at time, and make it a part of [their] dreams" (reviewer Andre Van Eeden).

Author and traveler Grady Hicks and his family are all about charting their own courses, especially when it comes to vacations. He inspires others to do the same in his first book released June 1, 2015, "The Amazing Journey: True Story of a Father and Son's Odyssey Around the World," which follows Hicks on his first global journey in 2011 with his eldest son Austin for a month around the world.

Hicks takes his children on these journeys to "introduce them to the world they are about to dive into as adults." He hopes that seeing and being a part of other cultures will broaden his children's perspectives and give them some insight about what life may bring in the future. Hicks said he wrote the books to encourage people to "put down their phones and to connect with those near to them and across the world." Hicks' second book in The Amazing Journey series is set to release in 2016.

Book one takes the reader from the Monasteries of Tibet, to Mount Everest, to the pubs of London and much more. Each destination holds a self-imposed task that Hicks and his son Austin must attempt.
