VINELAND, N.J.

A retired school teacher, Wanda Albizu wanted to leave her legacy to children that is why she has written "Mona Travels to Peru" (published by Xlibris), a beautiful English and Spanish adventure story about a monarch butterfly who is supposed to travel with other monarchs to go to Mexico seeking for warm weather and to find her relatives but ends up somewhere else.

Mona starts her journey alone hoping to find her relatives and together fly from North America to the mountains of central Mexico. She decided to rest her wearied black, orange and white wings on a ship that was oncoming land. While traveling she met new friends who motivated her to continue her voyage. However, she ends up in Peru. Will Mona make it to Mexico? Will she gets reunited with her relatives again?

"My book will appeal to readers because it is a bilingual children's book," Albizu said."It also touches upon endangered species on the brink of extinction. It is important for society to understand that monarch butterflies are part of our world."

"Mona Travels to Peru" is heartwarming read that serves as a testament to the amazing things that can happen when one continue to try reaching a desired goal. It is also an eye-opening read that will remind readers the importance of preserving nature's endangered species such as the migrating monarch butterfly.
