PORT LAVACA, Texas

Lead singer of the Texas-based heavy metal band Count Your Dead and author of the Wars of the Mind poetry series, Jonathan W. Haubert now celebrates a decade of poetry and lyrics in the release of his latest poetry collection, "Wars of the Mind Vol.5: (Between Flesh & Bone.)" (published by Trafford Publishing).

Since the early 2000s, Haubert has used his poetry and music to document the unique progressions and battles of his life with the intention of inspiring and entertaining readers and fans, drawing inspiration from life experiences such as love, death and pain.

This newest collection of poetry follows Haubert and his bandmates along the decade-long adventure of live shows, studio recording, album releases and all the ups and downs of the lives of musicians. Like each installment before it, "Wars of the Mind Vol.5" is unique to the progressions of Haubert's personal experiences.

"I want to help those who struggle with depression, abuse, anger management and alcohol and drug addictions to find the inner strength to rise above all the madness of this world and find a true sense of inner peace and hope," Haubert says.
