Through personal experience, author Merida Venditti guides readers in healing and reconnecting to the natural world through her new book, "Warrior Spirit: Path of Medicine: Just a country girl lookin' to change how people think about their world and medicine" (published by Balboa Press).

As the title suggests, Venditti presents her information on natural healing options and wisdom in a down-to-earth way, based on her own experience healing herself of an autoimmune disease. For many years she spent time alone in nature, delving into the study of religions, psychology, meditation and natural healing. She was eventually guided to the esoteric messages and dimensions she found, and studied with a Cherokee medicine woman for 25 years.

"People always ask me how I healed my autoimmune disease so I decided to write about the process of healing," Venditti says. "I wanted to help people understand that healing comes from within and all of nature is there to assist us if we but ask for assistance."

Venditti hopes to help readers realize that they are spiritual beings, working through a physical reality. She emphasizes the importance of reconnecting with nature and healing from within by listening to one's intuition and subtle messages from dreams and the natural world. She hopes to offer hope and healing to those who are looking for both.
