Without sign or symptom, Derrick Harding's life was changed when he was diagnosed with acute leukemia. The cancer forced Harding into hospitalization where his medical challenges mounted with a fall that resulted in a severed carotid artery and an aneurysm. Harding shares his intense medical journey in "Two Years Journey, The Rise from Leukemia and Aneurysm to the Opportunity of a Lifetime: Healed Survivor."

In "Two Years Journey," Harding pens a raw memoir of his life's toughest battles. Harding chronicles his year-long hospital stint that included chemotherapy, a severed carotid artery and stem cell transplant donated from his 72-year-old brother. Along the way, Harding shares how he found solace in his faith, allowing God to guide him through his recovery. Harding's incredible medical journey is paralleled by his unwavering belief that God would see him through.

"I want to share my story to showcase the awesome power of God," Harding said. "God sends the rain on the just and the unjust, just has he provides his guidance to all his children. In "Two Years Journey", I wanted to show how unpredictable and uncontrollable life can be, but if you have faith in God, he will provide."

Harding's story encourages readers to never take their health for granted and reminds them God always has a plan.
