From "Winnie the Pooh" to "The Hobbit," there is a history of books being conceived from stories the author told his or her children. Bill Lamar continues this trend with his new children's book, "Two Princes and Two Huge Big Black Stallions" (published by AuthorHouse), which began as a series of stories Lamar told his two sons.

Lamar's story, however, has a twist. Whereas Christopher Robin and Bilbo Baggins will be forever tied to the aforementioned adventures, "Two Princes" allows parents to insert their children's names in for the main characters.

The following is an excerpt from the story:

"Here is another tale of two young princes, __________ & _________, who lived long, long ago in a far, far away land. The two princes had two friends that were actually two huge big black stallions. The princes didn't ride the stallions on their backs because they were friends; instead used chariots that looked like pick-up trucks, but pick-up trucks didn't exist back then."

Lamar's format helps children to become involved in his creative stories. Along the way, children will learn important values such as doing their best and helping others.
