Born in 1960 in a small village in Spain, author Tori Kinsey would become the pioneer in her family. At a young age, Tori knew she was meant for more than small town life, and took off to England to learn the English language. Before long, she found herself in the United States where her nightmare would begin.

"THRIVER" tells the powerful story of a woman who refused to allow anything to defeat her- not a man, not cancer, and not even her inner self. Meeting Peter led her to the beginning of a never-ending nightmare. A cold, cruel, abusive, and mentally unstable man, who will stop at nothing just to get what he wants, even if it means Tori's death.

Tori also developed breast cancer that later metastasized into bone cancer. She is a victim of alcoholism, drug addiction, mental illness, rape, and betrayal, as she fights for her life, as well as for custody of her youngest daughter, Emma. But through it all, Tori Kinsey manages to survive and shares her story to inspire those feeling adrift in love and in life.

An emotionally driven and heart-wrenching story, "THRIVER" takes readers to the pits of hell and just when it seems the nightmare will never end, it picks you up proving that hope does indeed spring eternal. It defines the battle of a desperate search for happiness, love, hope and triumph. Tori Kinsey's story is living proof that the mind is indeed more powerful than the body, demonstrating that faith is the greatest tool to fight and overcome life's adversities, struggles and fears.
