In recent years Asian-American's have been considered one of the most well represented minorities in various private and public universities in the US. Unfortunately though, this representation has also created the stereotype that Asian-American parents constantly pressure their kids to be the best in academics. In "The Way the Ball Bounces" author Michael M. Morisaki has written an eye-opening look into the lives of a normal Asian-American family, with the hope of showing readers that stereo-types are not always true.

"The Way the Ball Bounces" is a truly immersive look into the lives of an Asian-American couple as they live their lives and pursue the American dream. It follows Korean-American internist, Dr. David Kim, and his Japanese-American wife, plastic surgeon Dr. Gloria Kim, who received their training at prestigious Ivy League institutions and have successful practices. The couple have two children called Nora and Mark whom they allow to find their way in life without the undue pressures they were subjected to by their own parents.

This book lets readers gain an insight into the lives of an Asian-American family, and the struggles and triumphs they experience through life. "The Way the Ball Bounces" is a truly realistic portrayal of an Asian-American family.
