LOS ANGELES, Calif.

Theater director and debut children's author Terry John Barto taps into the pop culture trend of talent-based TV shows like "America's Got Talent," and incorporates the message that with hard work anyone can accomplish their dreams in his new children's book "Gollywood, Here I Come!" (published by AuthorHouse).

Anamazie is a young girl who happens to be a turkey. Inspired by Shirley Temple, Barto created Anamazie as a child star in her own right - a regular kid in Gobbleville until she becomes an actual child star. As a regular kid, she leads the marching band, amazing onlookers with her dazzling smile, moves and personality. When a talent scout notices her at the Gobbleville's Got Talent contest, she is whisked away to fame and fortune, although it's not the easiest road.

"I want people to be inspired to follow their hearts and go for their dreams, no matter what they are," Barto says. "With hard work and perseverance, Anamazie's dream comes true. She is an inspiration to others who have their own dreams."

Anamazie learns how hard she must work to make her dreams of being on the red carpet come true. She studies her lines and learns how to move on the stage. Though she is scared at first, she gets the hang of it and supports her contemporaries to follow their dreams too.
