Raheem is a man who made one too many bad choices. Now, he sits in jail for his crimes, but the arrival of a mysterious letter changes everything. Raheem apparently has a daughter, and in order to see her, he must outsmart an entire prison to escape, but things on the outside are far more dangerous than he bargained for.

In "Rehabilitated" (published by Balboa Press AU), author Faris Gladias draws upon his own life experiences to portray a young man who endured homelessness, domestic violence and the allure of drugs. "I regularly find myself inspired by my past and how far I have come," Gladias explains. "My main character and I have a lot in common."

Although Raheem manages to break out of prison, he and his best friend soon discover that Raheem's old drug dealer is planning an attack on Washington, D.C. Together, they must thwart this plan in order to save thousands; all while Raheem tries to avoid the authorities hot on his trail and find his long-lost daughter.

"I want my readers to know that anything is possible and age is certainly not a barrier to success. Family is very important and you should spend as much time as possible with them, unlike Raheem, who could only spend so very little time with his."
