A romp with a writing career, a beloved American board game, a sexy graduate student, and the one that got away-"Triple Love Score" is the what happens when a writing professor pens a novel for fun.

In "Triple Love Score" playing it safe goes completely out the window when by-the-rules poet, Miranda, begins to use a Scrabble board instead of paper to write. She sets off a chain of events that rattles her carefully planned world. Her awakening propels her to take risks and seize chances she previously let slip by, including a game-changing offer from the man she once lost. When her career is rocked by an affair, Miranda is forced to decide between love or poetry.

Kirkus Reviews writes, "An entertaining romance novel with an engrossing plot, a conflicted heroine, and a couple of surprising, poignant takeaways." Kathryn Craft, award-winning author of "The Far End of Happy" (Source Books Landmark, 2015) reviews: "Combustible romance and fame slather a sexy gloss over more complex issues of familial love and true accomplishment for Granett's cast of endearing characters. An entertaining and perceptive story of our times." Amy E. Reichert, author of "The Coincidence of Coconut Cake" (Gallery Books, 2015) and the upcoming "The Simplicity of Cider" (Gallery Books, May 2017) reviews, ". . . a charming mash-up of viral poetry, relatable characters, and slow-simmering romance. Brandi Megan Granett explores how doing the unexpected might lead to what you had always wanted. With engaging characters, romantic gestures, and one board game, Granett makes poetry cool again."

Granett is bringing Delaware authors together, in partnership with the Prallsville Mill, at her River Reads Event which will take place October 23 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the mill on route 29 in Stockton, NJ, the author's hometown. The event is open to the public. There will be dozens of Delaware Valley writers-from a variety of genres, including young adult and children's book authors-in attendance hosting book signings, readings, plus wine tasting.

In addition to "Triple Love Score," Granett is the author of "My Intended" (Morrow, 2000), her short fiction appeared in Pebble Lake Review, Folio, Pleiades, and other literary magazines and is collected in the volume "Cars and Other Things That Get Around." Granett earned her PhD from Aberystwyth University Wales, her MFA from Sarah Lawrence College, and her BA from the University of Florida. She can be found along the Delaware River in New Jersey, at Facebook.com/BrandiMeganGranett and Twitter @brandigranett. When she is not writing or teaching or mothering, she will be flinging arrows on the archery range.
