One man is willing to cross oceans and run millions of mile for the sake of fulfilling his life long dreams. "THE PRICE OF AN AMERICAN DREAM" follows Juan Ramires, the hard working individual who dreams of living in the United States. Readers will join him as he leaves his old life and ventures into a new world where money is difficult and where people are sometimes awful.

Juan Ramirez, a native of Mexico, embarked on an exhilarating adventure into the U.S. through secret underground tunnels in pursuit of the American dream. When he made it to San Antonio, Juan moved on to Orlando, where he fell in love with a young lady from Puerto Rico. Together, they built a successful life during the construction boom of the late 90's. When the 2007 recession came, it hit the housing market hard and Juan's world tumbled. Frustration and despair led those around him to seek comfort in the fleeting passion of forbidden love. In the hurricane of that forbidden love, Juan lost his life trying to preserve his family and his American dream.

"THE PRICE OF AN AMERICAN DREAM" takes readers to the secret trails used by desperate human beings looking for a better life. It aims to make readers appreciate them and see them, not as illegal immigrants, but simply as men and women in pursuit of happiness, dealing with the strengths and weaknesses of human nature in their daily lives.
