Jazz musician John Coltrane once said, "You've got to look back at the old things and see them in a new light." In this case, something old is new again. Originally published in 1992, The Great Game of Business by Jack Stack is being re-released in an expanded, updated format.

Good to Great author Jim Collins says, "The whole concept of The Great Game of Business is beautiful - consistency, alignment, and transparency, infused with core values and brought to life with powerful mechanisms. It is inspired and inspiring."

In the classic original, Stack (with Bo Burlingham, Editor at Large of Inc. Magazine) introduced the business world to the concept of open-book management. The Great Game of Business follows the unlikely turnaround of Springfield Remanufacturing Corporation (SRC) in Springfield, Missouri; a division of International Harvester facing bankruptcy in 1983. Stack, a manager at the factory, used the analogy of a game to teach employees the fundamentals of business and encourage them to work together as a team to save the company...and their jobs. Stack's open-book approach to managing a company became known as The Great Game of Business.

The new edition, which hits stores July 16th, features a new forward by Stack where he shares the phenomenal results his company has experienced over the past 20 years, as well as a "how-to" guide for helping readers implement open-book management themselves.

To date, The Great Game of Business has been published in 11 languages and cited in over 130 other business and text books. Leaders from companies around the world such as Harley Davidson and Southwest Airlines have turned to The Great Game of Business as a way to engage, educate and empower employees to act and think like business owners.
