Boulevard Books is proud to publish, THE ART OF RECYCLING: Reimagining and Transforming Found and Discarded Materials into Art, the full color art book by Chris Spollen & Avi Gvili.

Over two hundred steam punk images of Chris Spollen's masterful sculptures made out of recycled materials combine with fascinating fiction in this one of a kind art book.

Over the past thirty years in his role as an award-winning illustrator, Chris Spollen's work has evolved from working with traditional materials on paper, to his current love for creating evocative, expansive digital mixed media projects, along with scouring locales for found objects that find their way into three dimensional sculptures that reflect his love for space, steamship punk and the sea. Spollen's work has been the subject of one-man shows at the Staten Island Museum, the Society of Illustrators, and was most recently included in the acclaimed Robot show at the Norman Rockwell Museum. He is also represented in numerous juried group exhibitions.

Meet and greet Chris Spollen at the Society of Illustrators, 128 East 63rd St. NY, NY on Oct. 24th 1-3. Signed copies of "The Art of Recycling" will be available for purchase as well as a few original sculptures to see and touch.

Meet and greet as well the publisher of Boulevard Books, Avi Gvili, Educator and Author.
