Surabhi expounds on a variety of themes in her eclectic new poetry collection, "Nascent Wings: A poetic endeavor" (published by Partridge India).

"Poetry is something that is natural to me," says Surabhi. "I have been writing poems since childhood. Whenever I feel overwhelmed, I write poems. I always wanted to be a writer and I felt that poetry would be the best way to present myself to the world for the first time as a writer."

Organized into five sections, Surabhi's poems are grouped by theme: motivation, pain, society, love and change. With nearly 50 poems, "Nascent Wings" reflects on a variety of emotions, including outrage, nostalgia, loneliness, motivation, acceptance and grief. Many relevant societal issues are examined in detail.

Surabhi's poem, "Moral Upgradation: Call of time," featured in excerpt:

"To bring about an ACTUAL CHANGE
Every man must be trained
With moral values and education
Of treating women as Homo sapiens"
