Author Stone Michaels believes that everyone is defining and refining themselves while enduring like the great Greek Titan Atlas who symbolizes a timeless image of a man carrying the world on his back. He expresses his thoughts and emotions in "Defining Atlas," (published by Xlibris) his debut book of poetry.

This poetry book captures various characteristics of life. Through those characteristics, it tells of the human condition which is consistently challenged by its spirituality. In these poems, he shows readers that strength, heartache, love, courage and most importantly sincerity, play an intimate experience to one's destiny.

"I believe everyone can relate to at least one of the poems in this book," Michaels says. "We all go through a lot of things on a daily basis and these poems offer readers a glimmer of hope in their lives."

"Defining Atlas" is a colorful collection of poetry, passing through the heart and soul of one's darkest and brightest moments of his journey through life.
