Steve Curran Presents the Delightful Adventures of 'Buster'
People have been telling stories for the longest time. Stories can teach valuable lessons, transport readers or listeners to distant lands and let them meet extraordinary characters. As a storyteller, Steve Curran knows how magical stories can be and in his new storybook he captures this sense of magic and wonder. "Buster's Day at the Show" is an exciting mix of unforgettable characters, brilliant illustrations and an engaging narrative.
"Buster's Day at the Show" is centered on the adventures of an eponymous D2 bulldozer, Buster. Buster loves to have fun. One day, he goes to his local showground to help finish off the earthworks and watch the show afterwards. Everything goes well and wonderful for Buster until a storm hits the town. The storm wreaks havoc all over the district. Buster and his friends are called upon to join the search and rescue mission. Will he muster enough courage to save the people who need him? The answer waits to be discovered in this vibrantly illustrated storybook.
Curran shares that the idea of a fun-loving and reliable bulldozer came to him one day at work; he works in the earthmoving industry. With "Buster's Day at the Show," he hopes to share the joy that stories bring, the same joy which he discovered from his grandfather's storytelling.
"My grandfather who was a cattle drover/bullock driver use to gather us children around the campfire at his farm to tell us stories. Those times were some of the most memorable and enjoyable times of my young life."
