Rear Page Information: A police detective wakes up in a hospital bed with a bullet wound to the chest and an impaired memory. Told he's a hero, somehow he doesn't feel heroic despite saving the Vatican envoy's life.

When his parents are killed in a car accident, Jack Shaw's devastation leads him down a path of self destruction; until an unconventional friend comes knocking and lures him into a world where he can learn to live again whilst exorcising his inner demons...

As Jack and Harvey's paths cross, a dark secret is revealed, a secret which will endanger their lives.

"In 'Stray Bullet', Simon Duringer has given us a tense, transatlantic thriller whose resolution will confound your expectations."
- Joe Donnachie, professional book editor.

"Stray Bullet" Author Bio; Simon Duringer: Educated at Mostyn House School in Cheshire; Simon became involved in both shooting and writing from an early age. At the age of 10 he gained his Second Class shooting certificate. By 13 he had qualified as a Preparatory Schools Rifle Association Marksman and also at that age won his first writing competition.

In his late twenties Simon joined the Royal Air Force where he won the Best Shot Award during his Basic Training and wrote a satirical article on the antics of trainees going through basic training. He continued to write and contributed to a number of RAF Station magazines and was published in RAF News.

Simon exited the RAF in 2004 and has worked and managed operational control rooms ever since, yet the passion to keep on writing has finally led to him concluding 'Stray Bullet', which had been started and often was left gathering dust since 2003.

Simon lives in Chorley, Lancashire with his partner Liz and her three children.
