Pen Parentis Literary Salons close an exciting season with readings by internationally best-selling author Sarah Pekkanen, Pulitzer Prize nominee Charles McNair, Amazon #1 Women's Fiction pick author Amy Scheibe, and triple-threat writing phenomenon Liz Rosenberg.

The night begins at 7pm with networking over wine, compliments of Andaz Wall Street. Readings and signings will be followed by Q&A moderated by Pen Parentis founder M. M. De Voe and its new Salons curator, novelist Christina Chiu. Come join the fun! Pen Parentis Literary Salons were founded to celebrate the creative work of writers that are also parents, and are a great place to meet industry notables.

The event takes place on Tuesday, May 12th at the elegant Hotel Andaz at 75 Wall Street. The night kicks off at 7:00 pm, and admission is free. RSVP is recommended through the Pen Parentis website. Pen Parentis Literary Salons are open to all adults over the age of 21. Books will be vended and proceeds go to Community Bookstore in Brooklyn.

May 12th Salon author bios:

Sarah Pekkanen is the internationally bestselling author of The Opposite of Me, Skipping a Beat, These Girls, and The Best of Us. Her work has been published in countless magazines and newspapers. She visits from her home near Washington, DC.

Liz Rosenberg is the author of 4 novels, 5 books of poems and more than 20 award winning books for children. She has edited five prize winning poetry anthologies and was featured on PBS' Reading Rainbow. Her newest picture book, TYRANNOSAURUS DAD is a Children's Book of the Month Club bestseller and has garnered praise from Publisher's Weekly, Kirkus, School Library Journal and elsewhere, and was an Amazon top 10 children's book. This marks her third appearance at Pen Parentis.

Amy Scheibe's first novel, WHAT DO YOU DO ALL DAY, was Amazon's #1 Women's Fiction Pick for 2005. Her current novel, A FIREPROOF HOME FOR THE BRIDE has been featured in national presses such as Vanity Fair, Redbook, and People Magazine.

Charles McNair, a Pultizer Prize nominee for his first novel, Land O'Goshen, currently lives in Bogota, Columbia. His long-awaited second novel, Pickett's Charge, was published in September 2013. Charles serves as Books Editor for Paste magazine, and often shares his reviews on an Atlanta radio station.
