The Legend of the Gatekeepers by Ryan P. Kegel is book one of The Legend of the Gatekeepers' Trilogy. It unravels the journey of young man who discovers there's more to everything in life than just what he can see on the surface.

Rholdin was once a young teen who is now entering adult hood and is suppose to take over the kingdom of Ralzare as its new king. After an unforeseen turn of events, however, Rholdin is met by a crazed old man who reveals to him that Rholdin is actually a gatekeeper, a powerful warrior selected by the cosmos at birth. As a gatekeeper, Rholdin must travel to train his Spirit, Body, and Mind in order to defeat an unknown force in an unfamiliar world.

The adventure takes place on earth during the medieval times in Central Europe. Rholdin is the upcoming hero of two worlds and is the central focus of the trilogy. The Old Man is the "guide" or "mentor" to Rholdin. He is the one who reveals Rholdin's higher calling and takes him through the steps of becoming what he was always meant to be.

The Legend of the Gatekeepers is the answer to the question of "why has reading dropped so low in sales in the entertainment industry?" About the Author

Ryan P. Kegel came from a divorced dysfunctional family and his childhood traumas eventually lead to him moving out of his house at the age of 18. After a year and a half, he decided to get his life back in order. After his 47-day visit to a rehab center, Kegel's life was changed. His new form of fantasy writing helped him carry his message to the masses.
