Detective stories seduce the readers with the thrill of solving a crime and proving the real culprits. Their characters have become heroes in the readers' eyes; someone they'd love to become when they grow up. From hilarious British author Roy S. Purcell comes one of the most entertaining detective stories of the decade with his new publication, Homes and Dr. Williams. This book is a fast-paced and humor-filled entertaining read for anyone.

As a child, Stanley Homes dreamt of becoming rich, famous and successful. His boyhood hero was his near namesake - the great Sherlock Holmes. As an adult, he realized that 'life' was complicated, hard work and at times, downright difficult, but together with his lifelong friend, Williams, they opened a Detective Agency anyway. Follow Homes and Williams as they travel through the dark and seedy London streets and into glamorous establishments in their attempt to find clues to unravel the mystery for their first official case. Along the way, they meet cut throat gangs, beautiful temptresses and, what some would class, the mentally imbalanced. Will their first endeavor be a success?

Although the story is centered on solving a trivial crime, it has antlers growing in different directions with the hilarious characters stealing the show and with witty humor evident throughout its pages. As a detective wannabe out to solve his first case, Stanley Homes encounters an array of comical and colorful characters which truly bring the book to life. Stanley and Dr. Williams are exceptional modern duo that will reinforce to the readers that living life to the fullest is the best lesson they can ever learn.

Homes and Dr. Williams is a fun-filled adventure following the two friends as they strive to untangle the mysterious assignment that they are working on. With its slap-stick humor and light-hearted fun, this entertaining detective novel will definitely appeal to readers and illicit a smile or even a burst of laughter from them.
