From experiencing the relatively unique mortal condition of pain and tribulation comes a triumphant work of fiction that probes both the deep and subtle realities of life. Author Richard Wesley Clough, in his newest book, "The Charge of the Light Cavalry" (published by Xlibris) reveals stunning truths that take readers into the intricate crypts of his lofty psychical domain to illuminate and bring into the foreground oft-hidden truths about existence.

Written with a blend of prose and poetry, Clough graces his readers with a bounty of insight on how the mind makes meaning, interprets and saves itself from the seemingly endless thrusts of external arrest. The author candidly portrays the inner landscape of his psyche and his battle with an invisible black hole. The book also brims with metaphorical references that appeal to literary aficionados of the perceptive kind - rewarding in its elaborate yet enriching web of dramatic and rational acumen.

A personal journey in the masquerade of fiction, "The Charge of the Light Cavalry" is a finely-charged epic treat awaiting those who yearn for challenge, wonder and wisdom.

An excerpt from one of the featured poems entitled "Legend of the Gun:"
Guns began several centuries ago
To fulfill mans ancestral trampled ego
That endured many years of drubbing
By the blood lust that wasn't becoming
In other words a new frontier of killing
