The world-renowned Taller Tupac Amaru creates vivid, iconic images that agitate for a more just world. Gathered for the first time in book form, the work of the Oakland poster-art collective takes a righteous stand on issues such as immigration, police brutality, indigenous rights, and the corrupting forces of globalization.

Over the last two decades, the work of the Taller Tupac Amaru has become ubiquitous in organized political movements throughout the Americas. In addition to their uncompromising topical work, the collection includes iconic images of Angela Davis, Edward Said, Rigoberta Menchú, Trayvon Martin, and Malcolm X.

The Taller Tupac Amaru is a collective art studio in San Francisco, California. Its members are Jesus Barraza, Melanie Cervantes, and Favianna Rodríguez.

With an introduction by award-winning journalist Rubén Martínez.
