International publisher Samhain Publishing today announced that author Jonathan Moore has been named to the final ballot for the 2013 Bram Stoker Awards in the category of Superior Achievement in a First Novel, with his novel Redheads.

"Like everyone at Samhain, I'm extremely proud of Jonathan," said Don D'Auria, editor for Samhain's Horror line. "After a debut novel as good as Redheads, I can't wait to see what he comes up with next."

Redheads is the story of a man searching for his wife's killer-who finds far more than he expects:

A killer far worse than insane.

Chris Wilcox has been searching for years, so he knows a few things about his wife's killer. Cheryl Wilcox wasn't the first. All the victims were redheads. All eaten alive and left within a mile of the ocean. The trail of death crosses the globe and spans decades.

The cold trail catches fire when Chris and two other survivors find a trace of the killer's DNA. By hiring a cutting-edge lab to sequence it, they make a terrifying discovery. The killer is far more dangerous than they ever guessed. And now they're being hunted by their own prey.

The Bram Stoker Awards will be presented at the 27th annual Bram Stoker Awards Banquet held during the World Horror Convention 2014 in Portland, Oregon, on May 10th. Purchase of tickets to both the convention and the banquet are open to the public. The awards will also be live-streamed online for those who cannot attend in person.
