A man returning from war is not likely to return home as the same man he used to be. In his debut book titled RED DANCER JOURNEY, author Rafael Fraguada pens a compelling story of a war veteran who immerses himself back home, looking for the right place and people to mend his traumatized life.

When Gabriel De Los Angeles, former marine from the Vietnam War, returns to New York City, he meets up with his friend to take the edge off his PTSD. Wings, a wealthy acquaintance from a tiny Midwest college they both had attended, had married while they were still in college, and his wife gave birth to a daughter who was unfortunately another man's progeny. He too had to fight and survive a war.

After sharing a bottle of wine one evening in Central Park, a terrible incident happens. Gabriel is held overnight for questioning about the death of a female socialite in the park after he is found in possession of a broadsword covered with the woman's blood. If that is not enough, word comes out that he had assaulted an intern and two security guards when he escaped from Belleview Psychiatric Ward ten years ago. The war veteran turns out to be mentally unstable right from the outset. In fact, he barely knows who he really is.

Fraugada has done himself a masterpiece of a novel certain to provoke one's perceived understanding of reality. A remarkably stirring book, RED DANCER JOURNEY is a fast-paced, mind-blowing read fiction enthusiasts will certainly yearn to digest.
