Rafael Amaya Among Top Winners at Telmundo's PREMIOS TU MUNDO; Full List

TELEMUNDO and NBC UNIVERSO's memorable and exciting simulcast broadcast of the fifth annual PREMIOS TU MUNDO (Your World Awards) from the AmericanAirlines Arena in Miami, Florida celebrated fans' choices honoring their favorite TV programs, actors, singers and TV moments, recognizing the top winners of the night, which included Rafael Amaya, Daddy Yankee, Chino & Nacho, Danna Paola, Fernanda Castillo and Gaby Espino.

Produced by Telemundo and Adventure Production Corp., the highly anticipated awards show, stood out not only by the caliber of its winners, but also for great musical performances. Spanish-language television stars Carlos Ponce, Carolina Gaitan, Jeimy Osorio, Laura Flores, and Raul Gonzalez joined voices on stage for a moving performance of the iconic song "Solo le pido a Dios" (I Only Ask God) with impactful imagery of recent world events as a backdrop. In another equally powerful moment legendary singer Jose Feliciano interpreted "Aleluya"; both performances harnessing the power of music to celebrate the hope of a better future because darkness will never be stronger than light, nor pain bigger than hope.

TELEMUNDO also honored Dr. Ana Maria Polo, one of the most prominent and influential figures in Hispanic TV, with the special award "Estrella de Tu Mundo" (Star of Your World) in celebration of her 15 years in television. In addition, the network paid homage to Intocable, the internationally-acclaimed, award-winning and one of the of most influential Regional Mexican music groups, with the special "El Poder en Ti" (The Power in You) award, given to artists who use the unlimited power of their fame for good, through their art and generosity.

Hosted by beloved TV personalities Rafael Amaya, Aracely Arambula, Fernanda Castillo, David Chocarro, Carlos Ponce and Maritza Rodriguez, the event also featured high energy performances and surprise collaborations by Cali y el Dandee, Chino & Nacho, Daddy Yankee, El Mola, Intocable, Jose Feliciano, DJ Juan Magan, Luciana, Luis Enrique, Farruko, Reik, Regulo Caro, Sin Bandera, and Sebastian Yatra. The awards ceremony was preceded by the traditional blue carpet special "La Alfombra de Premios Tu Mundo" hosted by Rashel Diaz, Jorge Bernal and Jessica Carrillo, with special participation from fashion specialist Quique Usales.

Top winners include Rafael Amaya for his legendary role as Aurelio Casillas on "El Señor de los Cielos" earning 3 awards including: Favorite Lead Actor - Super Series, Favorite Unlucky Lead Actor, and The Perfect Couple - Super Series with Fernanda Castillo who also won Favorite Lead Actress Super Series for her role as Monica Robles. Other two-time winners include: Danna Paola earning Favorite Lead Actress - Novela/Series and The Perfect Couple - Novela/Series for her work on "¿Quién es Quién?"; Gaby Espino won the coveted I'm Sexy and I Know It award as well as Favorite Host, Specials or Reality for her hosting duties at the Billboard Latin Music Awards. Daddy Yankee leads music winners earning Favorite Urban Artist, his #DYArmy won Fan Club of the Year and he was a featured artist on the winning Party-Starting Song "Andas en mi Cabeza" by Chino & Nacho. The Venezuelan duo also won Favorite Tropical Artist while Calibre 50 earned Favorite Regional Mexican Artist and Gloria Trevi was named Favorite Pop Artist.
