Shyness, bullying and depression shouldn't be something anyone has to deal with, especially our children. Unfortunately, these three issues can be a sad part of every child's school experience.

In "Project Self-Esteem", author and mother, Wendy Cullum, introduces a self-improvement guide for grades 2 through 6 to use in building healthy levels of self-esteem in order to avoid issues that many children face on a daily basis. Consisting of 16 value-building lessons that are age appropriate for Elementary School students, "Project Self-Esteem" introduces students to the core values that help them thrive in their personal lives as well as interact with friends and groups of people.

Cullum has been the Project Self-Esteem Coordinator as part of her local PTA for the past 3 years and has taught the program for the last 12 years. In her new book, Cullum provides fun activities and projects that can be practiced both at home or in schools.

"My personal goal is to have "Project Self-Esteem" used in every elementary class room around the country," said Cullum. "I believe that a child with good self-esteem is better able to cope with trials they will undoubtedly experience in life".
