"I have learned a great deal from history and from anecdotes told by the family table about oppressive systems," says author Laszlo Varszegi. Inspired by a lifetime of observation of events and their comparison with the past, he pens a story about a history professor whose controversial deductions earned him the ire of the authorities, while garnering the appreciation of true patriots.

"Seizure" (published by Xlibris) tells the story of Jeffrey Clark, a fictional history professor at the University of California, Los Angeles. After thirty plus years of diligent research, he decided to make his findings public by going on a speaking tour, visiting six countries to present his research. His tour turned out to be a great success yet controversial, in more ways he could imagine. The ideas he shared have stirred up the public's mood and are becoming a global phenomenon as they spread across the internet.

Clark quickly finds himself at the center of the world's attention. His ideas have made him the enemy of the government who sees him as an anarchist and are determined to detain him regardless of his growing popularity. His courage to stand up for what he believes in earns him many new friends. These patriots will work selflessly to save the country and its government from foreign interests. The game is on with the government standing in their way even as they are poised to work together to change the course of human history.

"If one chooses to examine human history, as Jeffrey Clark has done in my story," says Varszegi, "one is sure to find a recurring theme which points in a certain direction, toward a possible future." "Seizure" tells a story about the conflict between authority and the people's desire to set the course of their own fate using his insights from his in-depth study of history.
