PISCATAWAY, N.J. - "I am still learning that 'live and let live' is a fair and honest way of life," says author Roy Lee "Simon" Jarmon. A Vietnam veteran, Jarmon was diagnosed with PTSD (Post-traumatic Stress Disorder) in 2004. His journey into writing and poetry began as a therapeutic exercise, writing a letter to an injured comrade to express how he felt. That awakened him to see writing as a God-given path that helped him in his journey in dealing with and recovering from PTSD.

Jarmon has always been fascinated with the English language and how each word can be utilized in various ways depending on its context. Being somewhat of a loner at times, he found solace in turning to the pen and putting his thoughts and feelings on paper. "Poetry by Simon Volume 2: Circle of Life - The VERSHELLE CATO Experience" (published by Xlibris) shares a collection of his poems, prose and other creative pieces about everyday life and was written in an easy-to-read format.

"You can be who you are without diminishing or changing the other person," says Jarmon. He hopes that the down-to-earth, honest and heartfelt approach to life that he has taken in his book would help people understand and appreciate one another as persons.
