"We are all energized about this powerful play," remarked Mary Elizabeth Micari, artistic director of Genesis Repertory, regarding Mohammed Saad Ali's new play.

Directed by Jay Michaels, A LONELY NIGHT IN CONEY ISLAND premieres as part of a special presentation celebrating the 20th anniversary of Genesis Repertory, a leading arts & education organization in NYC, on Friday, April 28 at 9:00 p.m. as part of the 2017 Spotlight-On Festival at The Wild Project, 195 East 3rd Street, NYC.

"Lonely Night" finds Arab Omar, Latino Fred, and Caucasian Sam on a journey for weed. They meet drug dealers, prostitutes, and unscrupulous police along the way. Each is a criminal to someone.

The cast features Thamer Jendoubi as Omar Amari with Conor Mullen, Hector Canales, Mario Claudio, Maritza Renae, Ken Coughlin, Thaissa Yumi, Karina Tauber Gorokin, and Jim Kempner.
