ADELAIDE, Australia - Peter Miles returns to the world of fiction literature with the release of his second book, "Eye of the Beholder" (published by Xlibris AU). In this collection of short stories, Miles uses evocative storytelling to interweave the mundane with the marvelous, the real and the romantic and the worldly with the whimsical.

Inspired by the author's globetrotting adventures, "Eye of the Beholder" is a varied collection of short stories which share the common theme of showing the reader a window through which they are made to see a wider world. This world, through powerful imagery and an unforgettable narrative, may seem equally familiar and strange. The anthology is a rather extensive collection of literary works crafted over the past several years; the author started writing fiction after his retirement in 1993.

Compelling and deeply layered, "Eye of the Beholder" is a shining testament to the colorful diversity of human experience and the power of literature to convert singular experience into one that is shared and universally valuable.
