Pete Frierson Releases New Poetry Book

COLUMBIA, Tenn.

Author Pete Frierson says his new book of poetry, "Sweetness of the Heart, Mind, and Soul" (published by Trafford Publishing), was written to express love and happiness to the world.

Frierson's collection shares universal themes stemming from its central topics of love and happiness. These themes come across in the collection's five sections, organized into poems about love, life, family, friends and inspiration.

"Sweetness will make a person think and bring happiness to his or her heart, mind and soul," Frierson says of his poetry's topic.

"Sweetness of the Heart, Mind, and Soul" is more than just a book of poems - it is a collection of thoughts to uplift those who are down and bring smiles to those who are looking for love, Frierson says.

About the Author
Pete Frierson is a paralegal for a nonprofit organization in Columbia, Tennessee. He is a civil rights leader and was recently awarded the Outstanding Civil Rights Advocate Award from Columbia State Community College as well as the Making A Difference Award from the South Central Adult Abuse Coalition. He is a past president of his local Boys and Girls Club, a lifetime member of the Disabled American Veterans and the Fleet Reserve Association and is featured in Cambridge Who's Who. Frierson is now retired from the Navy and enjoys traveling, camping and riding motorcycles. Frierson's next poetic anthology, "The Centerpiece of Love," is also being published this year.
